The Kartrite Trails
Discover a world of outdoor adventure starting right from the Kartrite Resort & Indoor Waterpark, located in New York’s Sullivan Catskills. Take a hike on one of our five amazing trails; with nearly 6 miles of scenic hiking! All our trails offer a different adventure and it is your choice to decide how difficult you would like your hike to be! Hike at your own risk and enjoy the trails from dusk to dawn.

Lake Superior State Park
Lake Superior State Park is managed by Sullivan County under license from the Palisades Interstate Park Commission. The park has beaches, boat launches, picnic areas and our very popular fishing. Located 14 miles from The Kartrite.

Minnewaska State Park Preserve
Located in Ulster County, NY, Minnewaska State Park Preserve is situated on the Shawangunk Mountain ridge, which rises more than 2,000 feet above sea level and is surrounded by rugged, rocky terrain. Located 31 miles from The Kartrite.

Neversink River Unique Area
The 6,580-acre Neversink Unique Area features a spectacular gorge and two major waterfalls, Denton Falls and High Falls. The Nature Conservancy designated the Neversink River as one of the 75 “Last Great Places” throughout the United States, Latin America and the Pacific. This unique area is a great destination for hiking and fishing. Located 14 miles from The Kartrite.

Bear Mountain State Park
Bear Mountain State Park is situated in rugged mountains rising from the west bank of the Hudson River. The park features a large play field, shaded picnic groves, lake and river fishing access, a swimming pool, Trailside Museums and Zoo, hiking, biking and cross-country ski trails. Located 52 miles from The Kartrite.

Basha Kill Area
The Basha Kill D&H Canal (Towpath) is a flat, even multi-use trail that is relatively easy to complete. It ranges from Easy to Moderate (because of the distance) and you can access the trail at different locations so you do not have to complete the entire trail all at once. It runs from one gate to another on the towpath.According to our Google Map to the right, the trail is shown as the Blue Line. Located 18 miles from The Kartrite.

Long Path
The Long Path is a 347-mile trail that runs from New York City (starting at the George Washington Bridge) to Altamont, NY (Albany area). The Sullivan County portion of the Long Path runs through the Wurtsboro Ridge State Forest, Roosa Gap State Forest and the Shawangunk Ridge State Forest. The hiking level ranges from Moderately Difficult to Strenuous. Located 18 miles from The Kartrite.

Willowemoc Wild Forest
Willowemoc Wild Forest is in the southwest area of the Catskill Park, and is more than 14,800 acres. It includes a variety of trails and a number of ponds. Camping and fishing are permitted, and Waneta Lake in the park has a handicapped-accessible fishing pier. Located 27 miles from The Kartrite.
