There was an overflow crowd on hand for the ribbon cutting ceremony of the Kartrite Indoor Waterpark and Hotel on May 10. State Senator Jen Metger sai she would be back to make use of the various water features, and Assemblywoman Aileen Gunther said she would bring her four grandchildren there in the summer. David Kohlasch, general manager of the facility, which is being operated by Benchmark, which bills itself as a global hospitality company, said the 400 or so employees hired from Sullivan County were now part of a larger family.
